Waterton-Glacier International Peace Park

waterton-glacier-ipp-patchWaterton-Glacier International Peace Park is a World Heritage Site. George Bird Grinnell, co-founder of the Audubon Society, called this place the “Crown of the Continent”. Waters from this park flow to the Pacific Ocean, Gulf of Mexico, and into Hudson Bay. The glaciers have carved out this scenery from the oldest sedimentary rocks. The Blackfeet are the native peoples of this area. Many of the hiking trails in the park trace the same paths the Blackfeet took over the rockies. This park celebrates peace between nations and peace with all of nature.
