Point Reyes National Seashore

point-reyes-ns-patchAt Point Reyes National Seashore, you will be calmed by the ocean, intrigued by the wildlife and inspired by it’s beauty. There are 38 threatened and endangered animal species living in this area. We could sit for hours watching the elephant seals wiggle their way up on shore; squeeze their huge bodies in between a pile of peacefully sleeping seals; throw sand over themselves and any other seals nearby; and then bark at one another. This is also an incredible place for bird watching. Over 45 percent of the North American avian species are found here. The San Andreas fault bisects the peninsula from the rest of the mainland. Now this is somewhere we could see staying for some time. There’s just something about this part of the California coast that reaches us deep down. And we love cows by the ocean, something about that juxtaposition just makes us laugh! The expansiveness of the ocean, the waves crashing, the incredible variety of wildlife, the craggy rock formations, we just love it!
