Grand Teton National Park

grand-teton-np-patchIn Grand Teton National Park the mountains just rise straight up out the valley. There are no foothills so this creates a very stark contrast from flat land to striking peaks. The wildflowers in the spring are magnificent along with the sparkling mountain lakes. One of Ansel Adams most recognizable photos is of the Snake River winding through the Teton Range. Bald eagles fish from the pines beside the river. There are plenty of pronghorns and moose. We were fortunate to see a baby moose with its mother while there.
